BBC Three unveils lineup

Digital web builds on success with teen aud

BBC3, the U.K. web aimed at 16- to 34-year-olds, has unveiled a fall season that aims to build on its success at airing factual shows that resonate with younger auds.

Lineup includes "Can't Bully Me," following four 12- to 14-year-olds as they attempt to overcome the effects of hazing, and "My Boyfriend the War Hero," the story of a young British soldier who lost both legs and an arm in the Afghanistan war.

Drama for the fall is headed by "Lip Service," focusing on the lives and loves of young gay women in Scotland and described as "irreverent and sexy."

Comedies include "Him and Her," starring Russell Tovey as a young man with no desire to work, in Stefan Golaszweski's often shocking take on what really goes on behind the bedroom doors of today's twentysomethings.

BBC3's most iconic shows have included comedies "Little Britain" and "Gavin and Stacey," and the drama "Being Human," all of which aired on BBC America Stateside. "Being Human" is being adapted for the U.S. by Syfy.

Tom in Oz - It's great to get one mention in Variety but to have a whole lot of mention will make Rusty G. Tovey float on air for a week.
