The Tovey blog has always done its best to show all sides of Russell and his friends. Usually I have pictures of them in their natural environments…on the set filming, attending art galleries, dining, clubbing or boozing at the local…
As with every person though, there is a soft and fuzzy side, in Russell’s case her name is Nelly! Princess Nelly is owned by friend Matthew Cain the arts and culture reporter for Channel 4 UK but Nelly is such a demanding princess she relies on them both for servitude….and anyone else who strays into their apartment!
I asked Matt ages ago could we have a blog snap of him with Nelly and this is because Nelly had piqued the interest of many of Russell’s fans and they asked me to get a picture of her with her owner. It took considerable persuasion (blackmail) to convince Matt to make an appearance on the blog! Now he has, I have fended off more inquiries like, “Who is the cute man who owns the cat?” and “Where can I get one of those, and the cat is nice too?”
Since posting the snap of Nelly, Matt and Russell have been Twitundated with hundreds of questions and comments. I saved over 47 A4 pages…I keep telling Matt and Russ that Nelly and the two of them could have a reality show…the viewers would love to see “Two men and their cat!”
Posted below are just a few of the comments …I gave up counting when I got to 500 and a day later they are still arriving...also believe it or not, Russell started trending on Twitter Trendsmap with the release of his pictures of Nelly!
