George (Russell Tovey) transforms in the Pilot episode of Being Human. I thought it was a shame how one of Russell’s best transformation scenes is one that many people have not seen. In my opinion, Russell Tovey is one of the greatest television actors of our generation (and I’m an Australian saying this). I remember watching this scene and thinking “HOLY HELL, Russell fully commits.” It’s no wonder why he was the only one of the original cast that was kept the same. It’s honestly because no one could possibly pull this scene off better. Russell Tovey is irreplaceable. I also love this scene because you can see the Annie/George friendship even this early on in the show. They did not get along very well in the Pilot but Annie still braved going out into the outside world to help George. That’s a true friend!
