RUSSELL TOVEY - No.217

Robson and Lacey to guest in
Being Human

Robson Green has reportedly landed a guest role in the new season of Being Human. According to The Mirror, the actor will play a werewolf when he joins the show. "Robson's a huge admirer and was delighted to get involved," a source said. "It's a big departure from dramas he's been in like Wire in the Blood and Northern Lights." EastEnders star Lacey Turner (no relation to Aidan Turner) has also signed up for a role in the series and creator Toby Whithouse has already promised "jaw-droppingly, pant-wettingly exciting casting for a couple of guest characters". Being Human is to return for its third season in January.

Russell not going to star in
Todd Margaret

Also interesting to hear that Being Human's Russell Tovey won't be reprising his role in The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret series, having appeared in the pilot as part of the Comedy Showcase season last year. Co-creator/star David Cross has confirmed that Tovey's character Dave has been recast because of Tovey's unavailability, meaning they've had to refilm many scenes. Todd Margaret is expected to arrive on UK screens later this year.

BBC will bring Being Human
to ComicCon July 23 2010.

The full schedule for Comic-Con 2010 at San Diego will be unveiled in early July, but BBC has announced that they’ll hold panels for the ghost/werewolf/vampire dramedy Being Human. The July 23rd Being Human panel includes a signing and fan Q&A with creator/writer Toby Whithouse alongside cast members Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow, Aidan Turner, and Sinead Keenan. The series premieres July 24th on BBC America.
