Tovey latest to land comedy pilot at ITV
ITV's comedy rejuvenation is
continuing with Him & Her's Russell Tovey the latest to land a pilot. According
to Broadcast Now, a non-TX pilot from the makers of Rev is being made.
The Job Lot will be set in a job
centre, with indications that the show will chase a similar market to the
channel's one returning comedy hit, Benidorm. Miranda's Sarah Hadland will
co-star in the Big Talk production. It's the latest in a series of
new comedy ideas being trialled by the channel, following new pilots with John Barrowman,
Jonathan Ross, Alistair McGowan, Dom Joly and Leigh Francis's character Keith
Lemon.

Being Human and Him
& Her star to film a new sitcom from the makers of Rev
Actor Russell Tovey is to film a new
sitcom called The Job Lot. So far only a pilot episode is being made but if
successful, a series will air on ITV1. No further cast details have been
released but the pilot is set in an unemployment office and it's being made by
Big Talk Productions, the company behind Rev. It's also responsible for Friday
Night Dinner and Tovey's hit BBC3 series, Him & Her. The Job Lot would
be the company's first ITV1 sitcom but last year it made the channel's Show Me
the Funny and its most recent production is Chickens, a First World War
sitcom on Channel 4.

KAZ HAS
Above: Kaz [aka @WhoGuru] from
the USA has been immortalised by Mark M. Merrett of London in CGI. Kaz has been
a fan of the show Being Human for many years and commissioned Mark to turn her
into a very feminine she-werewolf. Kaz now joins a long list of people who
have been turned into artworks by Mark. If you are not sure why I make a fuss
about these artworks there is a very simple answer. Mark has suffered from
depression, agoraphobia and numerous other disabilities including severe
dyslexia. Because of his various conditions he struggles to draw free-hand but
has mastered a unique way of compositing CGI on his home computer. His artwork
is outstanding. Just one picture, as shown here, can take him more than 12
hours of painstaking work. By the way, Kaz is thrilled with the end result.
