“Erin Richards, who also presents the breakfast show on Red Dragon, she’s just landed a really quite substantial part in Being Human, playing opposite Russell Tovey,” she says.
“There’s a lot of interest in Wales at the moment – not just in terms of taking talent out, but also bringing productions in.
“We all know about Doctor Who and Sherlock and Gavin And Stacey.
“But Being Human is filming here, and there are endless numbers of films that are going to be shooting here.
“It might not have an immediate effect on the industry, but it does reflect a new attitude, I think, at the very least.
“But it has to be a two way thing. If we’re not producing the talent, the quality, which we very much are right now, then what right do we have to complain.”
