Ginger snap!

Tom_In_Oz_: @thegingerchap Hi I just blogged your crossword puzzle, hope that's OK?

thegingerchap: @Tom_In_Oz_ No worries. Puzzle done and answer found.

Tom_In_Oz_: @thegingerchap Did U know Russell in French means red headed & Sienna means similar orange/brown. So names actually match, was that the clue?

thegingerchap: @Tom_In_Oz_ It was their age.

Tom_In_Oz_: @thegingerchap 29 and counting! Not very cryptic really then, eh?

thegingerchap: @Tom_In_Oz_ a tad lame I agree.

Above: Clue to solving this crossword puzzle: “So what have Russell Tovey and Sienna Miller got in common?”

It’s a big werewolf love-in

Russell Tovey says fans should get ready for more werewolves, zombies and other mystical creatures on the third season of “Being Human.”

The 29-year-old plays the werewolf George on the hit BBC America series (tomorrow at 9 p.m.). “Season three was awesome” to film, Tovey told the Herald during a recent telephone interview from London. “The sound bite is, the first season, the danger was supernatural, the second, the threat was human, and the third one, the threat was from within.”

The Essex, England, native began acting at age 11. His first big role was in the 1994-’95 BBC children’s show “Mud,” which also starred Russell Brand. He starred in “The History Boys” at both the Royal National Theatre and on Broadway. He also currently stars in the BBC comedy “Him & Her.”

Because he grew up in the business, he has realized how important it is to have a life outside of work. “When I was younger, my status, my worth, was how much I was working, how busy I was and what I was going up for, and my real actual life took back seat,” he said. “It’s really important to know who you are before you play all these other characters because you get to the point where you’re acting so much, you don’t know who the hell you are.”

Tovey is openly gay. “It’s never been an issue for me and I’ve never been bothered about it and I didn’t make a big deal about it. I got asked once and I said, ‘Yeah,’ and that was it,” he said. “I did it because I didn’t want any hassle. I didn’t want the fear that I’m sure a lot of people in Hollywood and wherever are going through right now.”

Last month, Syfy debuted an American version of “Being Human.” Tovey was intrigued and flattered when he first learned of the remake. “It means that the show is good enough that the American market would want to re-create it,” he said. “It’s good for the brand, I suppose.”

Although he’s seen clips of the U.S. series, he hasn’t watched an episode. “I would want at some point to sit down and watch it properly. It just feels very strange.”

He’s become acquainted via Twitter with Sam Huntington, who plays the werewolf on the American version. :"We tweet each other now, and all the fans love that,” he said. “He says, ‘I’m really honoured to be playing a character that you started off playing.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m really honoured that you’re honoured.’ So we’re both honoured. It’s a big werewolf love-in."
