trending on Twitter
While Russell Tovey is overseas in Spain with Matthew Cain, enjoying his nights on the town and days in the galleries, the Tovey blog has continued to do big business due to the fans and their ongoing support. Also, a BIG thank you to additional celebrities who have filled the void with their excellent interviews: Rick Edwards and Paul Spicer.
Normally my Twitter name does not trend compared to Russell's, but since he's been out of the country and maintaining twitter silence it has meant the Tovey fans have made my name trend a few times on twitter. It is a constant source of amazement that me an anonymous blogger from Oz, gets to trend in foreign lands.

MatthewCainC4: Breaking my twitter embargo for first time! Having great holiday + just had brill day in Barcelona at Picasso Museum + Miro Foundation.
MatthewCainC4: Loved seeing permanent collections again but best of all was temporary show You Are Not Alone - contemporary artists responding to AIDS.

Is there no role Russell can’t turn his handsome face to? As well as Doctor Who, he’s appeared in Gavin and Stacey, History Boys, Ultimate Force, Marple and Him and Her. But it’s probably his role as loveable werewolf George in Being Human in which he’s best known. Russell is proof that genuine talent will never be overshadowed by sexuality. “When I was growing up there were no gay role models that were blokey, that were men,” he says. “Everybody was flamboyant and camp, and I remember going, ‘That’s not me, so even though I think I am gay, I don’t think I fit into this world.”
