Tom in Oz reporting from the Sussex coastline. Today we left Burwash and went to Hastings, Bexhill-On-Sea, Eastbourne and Brighton then back through Lewes, Uckfield and small towns returning to Burwash. We stopped at coastguard stations along the seafront where my White ancestors worked. We searched cemeteries along the way looking for Cruttendens, Culpeppers, Russells, Danns, Honeysetts, Mephams, Westons, Testers, Gills, Colemans and various assorted ancestors. My oldest ancestral line in Sussex is that of Sir Thomas Culpepper born 1170.
NB. Russell Tovey stayed inside selling goodies for most of the day while I ventured out still in my shorts. Gee us Aussies are tough!
