Dear Russell Tovey blogspot readers,

While in the UK recently I watched Russell Tovey’s friend Matthew Cain most nights doing his television culture reports for ITV4.

As a favour could you please visit Matthew Cain’s Channel 4 Culture Blog and see if you can click any of the topics he’s covered thus far and look for a respondent caller Philip Edwards. Phil seems to write most days condemning Matt’s work. I’ve had a go at writing a few replies myself but Mr Edwards just seems to snake back every day with something bordering on maniacal and despotic. He must have a poison’s laboratory working on an anti-venom as I write.

Compared to most stuffy reporters I can vouch for the fact that Matt works hard at making his TV Culture reports current, contemporary and informative. If you don’t follow Matt on Twitter maybe you should as he sends out invitations to leave comments most days. Maybe volume of numbers may keep Mr. Edwards at bay but I doubt if he is going to go away in a hurry. Maybe we could organise the villagers to rally round with pitchforks and flaming torches...

Tom_In_Oz_: @Ralphwjbrown Many poor boys/girls join the army to get qualifications usually because they can't afford it otherwise. *just a thought*

Ralphwjbrown: @Tom_In_Oz_ yeah that was my point Tom. Social engineering. Posh kids go to government/civil service/business, poor kids to the services.

Tom_In_Oz_: @Ralphwjbrown Gov in Oz already has a scheme whereby kids pay student loans back. My son/daughter now both in 30s are still paying loans.

Tom_In_Oz_: @JamesaFleet Russ Tovey mentioned her in commentary of Him&Her DVD as playing his BH mum. He certainly gets to have some great "actor" parents.
