Sadly on the 24th Mr Tovey Re-Tweeted a few dubious items. The first one was a request to help support Barnardos but neither Mr Tovey nor the sender had a link to anywhere to make a donation. So I tracked it down and asked my Twitter following to try to alert Mr. Tovey but I’m afraid many Re-Tweets later only the original Tweet with the mistake made it to Russell’s following and of course that meant no donations were made to Barnardos. Many thanks to my followers who tried numerous times to alert Russell and also @2BallG who joined with us to alert Mr. Tovey.

The above Tweet looks harmless enough it merely contains a picture of Mr. Tovey’s backside as shown in episode one of season three of Being Human…but on the site where this picture is lodged if you clicked the “next” button it would take you further through pictures of celebrities showing naked backsides…some of which were underage boys and some of which have been removed by Twitter for their pornographic nature. I advised Mr. Tovey to take care but he seemed to ignore various warnings all day long. I am pretty sure Russell would have not promoted this site if he had been on a computer to check its authenticity rather than a phone.

In the corridor of a new block of flats, two strangers become neighbours. Despite their differences and some awkward encounters, the neighbours become friends. But when someone breaks the unspoken rules of the building and an innocent prank goes wrong, the friends become accomplices. By then it’s too late to ask themselves how much they really know about each other…or anyone else on the third floor.

Ratings
In simple terms the ratings for episode 1 of season 3 of Being Human were one third higher than the finale of season 2...which puts the show into a new category! I think it has gone from ‘cult‘ show to ‘mainstream.’

FORGET ABOUT THE US VERSION, IT'S BACK ON OVER HERE
Being Human, BBC3, 9pm – The supernatural drama which recently transferred to the Syfy cable channel in the US returned for a third run to BBC3 with 1.368 million viewers, a 5% share of the audience between 9pm and 10pm, with another 174,000 viewers on BBC HD.
It was more than a third up on the 1 million viewers who watched the series finale of series two of the BBC3 drama in March last year.
It beat ITV2's sitcom Benidorm – a rapid repeat of the edition shown on ITV1 on Saturday – which drew 488,000 viewers, a 1.6% share.
