BEING HUMAN BLOG IS A BUST!
Recently fans world-wide were asked to contribute questions to the Being Human mastermind Toby Whithouse. More than 300 sets of multiple questions were submitted to Toby but only about 18 questions were answered which leads me to believe that following the BBC3 blog is becoming a BIG waste of my time…
The BBC3 team have been expending their time publicizing their new on-line show Becoming Human which you can NOT see outside the UK because of copyright blocks at the BBC. The fans have to wait for a low grade copy to appear on YouTube – usually in my case found and distributed by my friend Ewan. Meanwhile attention is diverted from their regular show Being Human which has had less weekly focus than in previous years. The long term Being Human fans are a little bewildered at this change.
For us outside the UK I might add I don’t think we get any kind of consideration by the BBC when it comes to numerous issues and the questions asked of Toby Whithouse are an example, the answers were mostly back to long term fans that live in the UK and that can easily attend conferences and events to see and hear the stars of the show in person.
The following list of people were lucky enough to have a reply; some also contribute to the Tovey blog: AllieMunster, joooos, FlyingMonkeys, tom (which is not me BTW), Ewan, Dorina, [These people all asked the same question: Sarah; VampGhostFan; superawesomeme; Jac_E and Lee T], RetroAmour, Fitzov. WorldsGayestNinja, aquamarine_jo, Snowracer_247, HAz152, DJ2JD and Alanna.
I asked Toby the following:
Is there any chance you could do one hour specials between the main shows...I would love to see Mr & Mrs Sands (George & Nina) on Hols in Oz, New York or Hawaii...concept of werewolves abroad...
Can we have specials for Xmas or Halloween...stand alone Eps? Or like in the USA where we get 2 shows that share a cross over plot line...
When doing the DVDs can we have cast and crew commentaries?
The Tattoo on George's leg that wasn't there for Seasons 1 and 2...did you think hard about continuity issues...I hate things like that cropping up...my brain hurts thinking about the small stuff at times!
On a lighter side (he he) the big criticism I had of season 2 was that the same 4 fluoro light tubes were used over and over...to the point where I'd have a drink of scotch every time I saw one in the background...most eps I was drunk! *an observation not a question*
I have been to the BH house in Barry and the scale size of your sets are too big...the Fry's house in Barry is larger on the inside...it's like the TARDIS in Dr Who.
There are 700 more questions but this is enough for now...and if I get a reply to any of them I'd be very surprised but I live in hope...honestly I do!
