Jack Shalloo
Jack is an actor, singer and comedy developer who is friends with Russell Tovey and has appeared on the Tovey blog previously with his inventive online cult comedy show called “Sketchbank.”
When Jack first started “Sketchbank,” in one day, I was able to find him about 400 new followers on Twitter to help him become established.
Jack is a native Londoner and trained at Colin’s Performing Arts College, graduating in 2006. His theatre credits include: Isaac in Fit (UK tour); Pete in The Bitches Of Eden and Jason in March Of The Falsettos (Tristan Bates Theatre, London); Pirate in Peter Pan (Broxbourne Civic Theatre); Jackie in the original cast of Whistle Down The Wind (Aldwych Theatre); Spider in Oliver! (London Palladium) and Cultural Shift (Stratford Circus).
Television and film includes: Holby City, EastEnders, Out Of Control, The Man Who Loved The Lakes, The Bill, Excluded, Jessie’s Girl and Miranda Hart's New Year’s Eve sketch show.
Currently (April 2011), Jack is playing Tony Lumpkin in “The Kissing Dance” at Jermyn Street Theatre then he recommences touring with Hamlet (The Musical) at Northampton, Derngate and Richmond in May-June 2011.
While on tour Jack is also selling his new CD “London Soul” an original album with a bonus track from Departure Lounge the musical.
Jack is probably best known for his role of Pete in Departure Lounge. The show was nominated for best musical at the 'Whats On Stage' awards.
Jack has three feature films under his belt all directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair, Fit, Kick-Off and Bashment.
