My theory on Who code:

The names used for characters in Dr Who are often anagrams of something pertaining to the story: Michael Gambon plays Kazran Sardick whose father was an abusive man called Elliot Sardick.

Elliot Sardick = "airlock lid set"

(Elliot sets people into freezer chambers in the story)

Kazran Sardick: = "a czar's dark ink"

(Kazran's story is a retelling of Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol")

& must not forget to say kudos to Murray Gold for his brilliant new Christmas song which closes the show. A new classic has been born.
