BUCKINGHAM BEAR

Since Ozziebear didn’t have much luck getting a bit of a cuddle at Kensington Palace yesterday, he tried to find a bit of love at the other place he had seen on television. The little palace looked nice and cosy and they had even put a Christmas tree in the front yard. But when our fluffy tourist spotted the guardsmen, he realised that they were wearing fellow bears on their heads. Ozziebear was too scared that he might end up being a bit of headgear and decided not to make any further attempts to meet the owner of Buckingham Palace. This surely is not the place to find a cuddle!

Talking about strange headpieces... There was a horde... erm... gang... well... group of fancy men on horses dressed up as superheroes wearing capes and bushy red fluffy thingies on their helmets (you can see them in the background). Apparently there was some kind of Comic Convention at Buckingham Palace this very day.

WITH JAMES FLEET

This week I had a fun time reading through tweets by actor James Fleet to see what he is currently doing. James is one of my @Tom_in_Oz_ followers ever since he appeared in Being Human with Russell Tovey. James is very well-known in the UK. He has appeared as Hugo Horton in the Vicar of Dibley and as George Sands senior in Being Human and also appeared in the blockbuster movie Four Weddings and a Funeral. James has had guest roles in Coronation Street and numerous other quality British dramas and comedies. He is currently in the stage play version of “The Lady Killers.” This week the cast decided to have a little Christmas fun backstage at their dressing rooms as the following pictures and tweets will show…

James_Fleet: Marcia Warren wins dressing room competition. The wise man and camel got me second place.  

James_Fleet: Stage managers unplaced despite bribing judges with mince pies. 

James_Fleet: Jerusalem backstage decoration competition tomorrow. Photos a possibility. (I'm assisting the judge)

Press play to hear a #1 Top 40 hit from 1984 from one of my followers Marylyn [@ThaMrMarilyn]. Maz came out to Oz in 1984 to do this live on Countdown. I was there in the audience...little did he or I realise all these years later he'd follow me on Twitter and also the Condou and Tovey blogs. Also, thinking of Molly Meldrum former host of Countdown who fell while decorating his house this past week and has been hospitalized with numerous critical injuries.
